Connecting to nature is an essential part of being a real ninja. She’s our greatest teacher, most powerful healer, and best opportunity to test ourselves.
For the last 4 years I’ve been co-leading a river adventure in Vermont. It’s always a blast (and lots of work) and one of the highlights of my year, but this years adventure was the most fun ever.
For 3 nights and 2 days, we canoed down the White River with perfect weather, playing our way down her twisting bends: rapids, rope swings, cliff jumping, water falls fire works, and open fire cooking under billions of stars.
I wanted to share some of the photos and videos below. Enjoy!
Delicious anticipation – heading to the launch site.
Post sweat lodge euphoria.
Pre-sweat lodge mania. #WildBlackBerryBrothers
Camp ground the first night. All the other places we camp are primitive except this one.
Breaking fast post sweat lodge in Woodstock, NY.
Friday morning breakfast.
Breakfast Burrito – eggs, cheese, avocado, fried onions, hot sauce.
River launch is eminent! Good by world, see you in 3 days.
Friday lunch spot. Rockin’ undies. Why not?
Doesn’t look it, but actually a 3 foot water fall, whole river drops!
Rail road bridge rope swing.
Contemplating climbing that rope and traversing the bridge. We scoped out the river bottom with goggles first.
More bridge shenanigans
Post adventure ice cream over a river gorge.
Back to “reality”.
Going to write a post about harnessing the power of fear, but until then watch this!
